HOPE
FOR SOUTH AFRICA'S CHILDREN is
a small charity based in Stocksfield Northumberland.
Registered in 2004 by David & Glen
Smith who in 2001 following retirement,
volunteered with WEC (World Evangelization
for Christ) to help set up
Rehoboth village for children
orphaned/abandoned and HIV Positive.
In addition to the village the charity now
supports a number of
projects
in the rural community working with
trusted partners.
In
the year 2024/2025 the charity raised £42,056 and
made grants totalling £36,679.
Having
just completed our 21st year as a registered charity we have raised
£934,917 for projects in South Africa.
In
addition to Rehoboth village the charity now increasingly supports
a
number
of projects in the rural community working with trusted known
partners.
Rehoboth
Children's Village is now a short-term home supporting up to 75
children, we
continue
with our Sponsor programme which in the 24/25
financial year provided £15,332 in support.
The charity’s
projects include support for Rehoboth children leaving care, which
included Education / Training
and
University fees. This year we
also provided training grants for 9 Leavers for various vocational
courses.
Genesis
Hope, part of Norwegian
Settlers Church, Kula Crèche (feeding 400 children),
Vredenburg
Church” Kingdom Kids” all received grants to
support Education &
Training projects.
We
continued our support for Cornerstone, a school
for children with special educational needs,
this
included a
full bursary. Grants totalling £21,347 were made to 5
projects.

HFSAC has provided grants to Khula
Crèche to support its feeding programme
providing meals to an average of 400 children twice per week.
