HOPE FOR SOUTH AFRICA'S CHILDREN is a small charity based in Stocksfield Northumberland.

Registered in 2004 by David & Glen Smith who in 2001 following retirement,

volunteered with WEC (World Evangelization for Christ) to help set up

Rehoboth village for children orphaned/abandoned and HIV Positive.

In addition to the village the charity now supports a number of projects

in the rural community working with trusted partners.

In the year 2024/2025 the charity raised £42,056 and made grants totalling £36,679.

Having just completed our 21st year as a registered charity we have raised £934,917 for projects in South Africa.

In addition to Rehoboth village the charity now increasingly supports a

number of projects in the rural community working with trusted known partners.

Rehoboth Children's Village is now a short-term home supporting up to 75 children, we

continue with our Sponsor programme which in the 24/25 financial year provided £15,332 in support.

The charity’s projects include support for Rehoboth children leaving care, which included Education / Training

and University fees. This year we also provided training grants for 9 Leavers for various vocational courses.

Genesis Hope, part of Norwegian Settlers Church, Kula Crèche (feeding 400 children),

Vredenburg Church” Kingdom Kids” all received grants to support Education & Training projects.

We continued our support for Cornerstone, a school for children with special educational needs,

this included a full bursary. Grants totalling £21,347 were made to 5 projects.

More details are available under LINKS.

Due to the generosity of the Trustees expenses were just £175.
